Painting and Customizing your Nitro RC Cars
Typically, when you purchase your nitro remote control cars, it’ll already have a great paint job as well as decorative decals for a tricked out look. Never the less, if you want to build your own RC car, which most Nitro car enthusiasts eventually do, you’ll want to learn the basics of painting and customizing to help make the end result uniquely you.
First of all you’ll need to work in a well ventilated area. Begin by washing and rinsing out the car’s body with warm water and a bit of liquid dish washing detergent to get rid of residue. Once cleaned and rinsed, dry the body using a micro fiber towel.
Work with masking, painter tape or liquid mask to tape car off prior to painting. To begin painting you can air brush the car or use spray paint, whatever you’re at ease with. Use thin coats avoiding dripping because it’s always better to take a number of passes with your airbrush or spray can than to make one weighty shot that’ll just weight down your Nitro car. Follow by adding your decals for your own, one of a kind design.
